Flowers for all Occasions

One rainy day, the blooming of flowers
amidst the day’s showers,
left me wondering and pondering
over the occasions where I see …

Sometimes in a tree, a vase or in company of a bee.

Be it festivals or celebration,

arranging the pretty flowers is all a part of the preparation

to decorate a place

or to bring a smile over one’s face.

Be it a birthday or an anniversary 

or sometimes even in one’s culinary,
the pretty blossoms mesmerize all

just like a canary with its call.

Be it Almighty to whom he prays

or a lover’s gaze which makes him sway,

he appeases both with flowers
and ends all jowers.

Be it a bouquet or a garland

or even a remote island,
its presence and fragrance

pleases not alone the emissary

but is elementary even in a place like cemetery.

Is there any such occasion

where one hasn’t seen the invasion

of these beautiful flowers

which towers all with its powers ?
